OBITUARY.   

The NDISHINE  Sub Palace (NDIKOCHONG)  of Din- Noni and the entire founder family of Din (Bonkohlaah) regret to announce to the general public the disappearance of their father Wirkebaai Ndinje II on Friday the 17th of February 2023.

He is the second in the Command Chain of Din  after the Nfon of Din and most specially, the land Lord. Din is in darkness till the supreme traditional authority ( kwifon) shall make known when and where he will be found.

The NDISHINE ,Gwaan Downer Nchor families at home , Douala, Bafousam, Bamenda  Kribi and out of the country should take special note.  

Also, the Saaf Royal Family in Bum Subdivision, the Kong Family in Nkor-Noni should take note.

Shey Nkinen Julius in Kribi.

Traditional Customs and Christianity in Noni

 The Noni Story IV As a result of the sprinklings of people who came in from different places it greatly affected the traditional centralized ancestral religious practice. Traditional Religions were as such much more easily replaced by Christianity. The Catholic, Baptist and to a lesser extent the Presbyterian Churches practically swept through   Noni almost completely replacing its Traditional Religions and Practices. It is almost impossible to find a poligamous family in Noni because of their Christianity. Shey George Forgwei, a Noni elite from Nkor who was conferred with the title Shey Wu Ntvu (Treasurer of the Palace) by the Nfon of Mbin sheds light on the situation in the following words: “I am a Christian but this does not prevent me from being a traditionalist.
