Subject: REPORT ON DADA FOOTBALL/HANDBALL TOURNAMENT IN DJOTTIN: EDITION DECEMBER 2022 

In the interest of meeting up with socio-economic progress and enforcing social activities to ensure peaceful livelihood back at home, DADA initiated a Football and Handball competition in December 2022. Unfortuntely, handball did not hold but the football jamboree saw the entire population coming out of fear to embrace this gesture and with assurance to the general public that peace has truly returned. Organized in collaboration with the Parish Priest (Rev Fr Emile) and other well-wishers back home, the tournament was successfully completed on Sunday 15th January 2023. 

The football teams were drawn from different pools covering all the quarters of Djottin. After a very stiff competition, Shooting Stars of Djow defeated Lafele FC by 2 goals to 1 in the final day of play. Nyawvu FC went back home with the third price.

It must be mentioned here and with a vote of great thanks that the efforts made by individual donors towards the success of this competition cannot be overemphasized. It is only through these individual gestures and sacrifices that we can truly change the face of our beloved community. 

On behalf of my executive and the entire Djottin population, I express my unreserved gratitude to all Kedjottin and other benefactors who worked tirelessly in one way or the other towards the success of this great tournament. I assure you all that with your collaboration, support and trust, our people will gradually reap the fruits of their labour adequately.

Traditional Customs and Christianity in Noni

 The Noni Story IV As a result of the sprinklings of people who came in from different places it greatly affected the traditional centralized ancestral religious practice. Traditional Religions were as such much more easily replaced by Christianity. The Catholic, Baptist and to a lesser extent the Presbyterian Churches practically swept through   Noni almost completely replacing its Traditional Religions and Practices. It is almost impossible to find a poligamous family in Noni because of their Christianity.
